Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon - Spain

Welcome!

The Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon 2024-2025 is a unique event that brings together not only the life science industry but several other industries as well.  We’re welcoming players from the healthcare industry, healthcare providers, clinicians, researchers and students, as well as professionals and students in AI, IT, and those engaged in biotechnology, health informatics, epidemiology, and other individuals around the world to help us generate ideas and solutions to address the global health challenges!

How to participate

Here’s how the Hackathon works:

1️⃣Register for the hackathon!

  • Click on the “Register Now” button and fill in the form.

2️⃣Explore the 5 challenges for this hackathon

  • You can find them at the end of this page

3️⃣Create or join a Team and submit your initial idea

  • Register before the end of the phase "⭕Registrations close" and join a team before the end of the phase "❌Team formation close and 💡idea description submission” and submit your initial idea description on Eventornado.

4️⃣Compete in the 2-day in-person Hackathon!

  • You’ll develop your idea for the hackathon with your team and your mentors during the weekend!

Prizes

pexels-n-voitkevich-6532381One representative from the winning team at each Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon location will be invited to Gothenburg, Sweden, in October 2025 to participate in the final award ceremony at the Nordic Life Science Days (NLSDays) conference. This prestigious event offers a unique opportunity to pitch their idea to potential partners and investors. 


As winners, teams will not only gain valuable exposure through pitching and exhibition opportunities but also receive business coaching and a monetary award from a total prize pool of up to EUR 15,000. 

NLSDays is a premier annual gathering for Europe’s life science community, providing an exceptional platform to network, showcase innovations, and explore business opportunities.
